Spurs are set to sell off Gareth Bale -- but where will he go?
Tottenham looked to have signed off on an £86 million deal with Real Madrid for the transfer of Gareth Bale, according to reports in the British press -- but Sky Sports News says other bids are being considered.

10:40 BST: SC Freiburg are set to sign Viktoria Plzen midfielder Vladimir Darida, 23, after their game against Bayern Munich on Tuesday. Sky Sport News reports that a deal is all but done.

10:25 BST: And if that one goes through, Schalke could replace him with Slask Wroclaw attacker Waldemar Sobota, according to German football magazine kicker.

10:15 BST: Schalke general manager Horst Heldt has said his club and Scottish champions Celtic are negotiating over the possible transfer of Finald international Teemu Pukki, 23. "We are in talks," Heldt said.

10:00 BST: And still on the Bale theme, Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino has stuck by his comment that the world record fee involved was “disrespectful” in the difficult economic climate. Carlo Ancelotti called those comments “strange”, but Martino said: “I said what I said -- I do not want a disagreement with anyone. I am sticking to what I said. I am not taking it back, but I do not need to continue with this theme, because it has had a beginning and an end.”

09:57 BST: If -- and, ladies and gents, it’s still officially an if -- Gareth Bale goes to Real Madrid, who might be on their way out of the Bernabeu? Marca suggests Angel Di Maria could make a ¬30 million move to Arsenal -- but the paper adds that “problem is the player himself” because he does not want to leave the club. AS says Mesut Ozil could move to Manchester United for €45 million.
